We have 3 Specialized Conservation Safaris for our Guests to choose from in 2025.
Each Safari is privately guided by Martin & Antje and will give you opportunities to get up close and personal with true conservation heros and have authentic hands on Conservation experiences.
A Conservation Safari with Martin Meyer Safaris, is not only a wonderful way to view the Big 5, and experience an Epic Safari Adventure, it is the perfect way to ensure that your journey has a positive impact on the ground. Each Journey is curated to travel with purpose and to leave with a renewed sense of self-purpose.
We are fortunate to have insider access to some of the most wonderful and ethical conservation projects in and around our home-town of Hoedspruit, and the Martin Meyer Safaris Team made the decision to share these projects with our valued guests in a very personal way.
Each of the below conservation safaris, includes a Rhino-Dehorning, walks and talks with local wildlife vets, Telemetry of Endangered Species and proper good old fashioned hands-on conservation work - with enough of a safari flair to tick the wildlife boxes.

Option 1 : An Insight into African Conservation

Arrive in Johannesburg and make your way to the City Lodge
Fly from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit and transfer to Abelana Safari Camp, where in 4 nights you will experience Telemetry of Endangered Animals, have hands on conservation experiences and game drive in a Big 5 Reserve
Transfer from Abelana Safari Camp to Baobab Ridge in the Klaserie. Here you will have three nights on Safari, and also experience a Private Rhino Dehorning and meet the Klaserie K-9 Conservation Team
Transfer from Baobab Ridge to Bundox River lodge for 4 nights at leisure before returning to Johannesburg for your departure flight home

Transfer from Baobab Ridge to Rockfig Safari Lodge for 5 nights at leisure before Guided by Martin Meyer before continuing onto Mozambique
Spend 4 nights relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Mozambique, with Boat Trips to Pansy Island, Margeruque Island for a beach picnic and optionan Dhow Sunset Cruises
